Contract joinery in Haslemere
There is no standard version of Wall Panelling Systems in Haslemere, which is rather the point. Local stock is dominated by interwar detached stock, Arts and Crafts houses and 1930s semis, which sets the sizes and profiles we work to. The exposure here is mild but damp, with heavy tree cover holding moisture against elevations, which is exactly the condition that causes sap staining and green growth on north elevations followed by joint opening. The part that matters is panelling set out so joint lines land where the eye expects them.
Every job is measured on site first, because drawn sizes and built sizes are seldom the same. One call is usually enough for us to tell you roughly where the price will land.
A detail specific to this area: high-value stock where owners specify hardwood over softwood as standard.

Verified client, SurreyHaslemere questions
How long does a typical order take?
Most made-to-size orders run six to ten weeks from survey to delivery. Conservation and heavily detailed work can take longer, and we confirm the lead time in writing at quotation rather than leaving it open.
Is the timber certified?
All our stock is FSC certified and chain-of-custody documentation is supplied with the order, which most main contractors and specifiers now require for their records.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
Will the finish need maintaining?
A factory-applied microporous finish typically needs inspection every three to five years, sooner on exposed coastal elevations. Maintaining it is far cheaper than letting a coating fail and the timber take up water.
What if the opening is out of square?
Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.
