Shopfitting Joinery for Castleford properties
Shopfitting Joinery around Castleford is a different job from one street to the next. You will find mostly millstone grit terraces, weavers' cottages and Victorian civic frontages in this area, and it moves as it ages. Pennine exposure with hard frost and horizontal rain is the local complication, and frost damage at end grain and blown joints on exposed hillside stock is what it eventually causes. In practice that means retail and hospitality fit-out worked to a tight overnight programme.
The measuring is done by the people responsible for the fit, which concentrates the mind. Rough dimensions and a couple of photographs are enough for us to price it properly.
One local point to factor in: gritstone reveals hold water against frames, so drainage detail is critical.
